6. What about cookies?
6.1 We and/or third parties use cookies and other tracking technologies on our website. A cookie is an identifier (a small file of letters and numbers) that is sent to your computer. The functionality of our website may be limited if you set your browser to refuse cookies.
6.2 Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the website owner or others. Session cookies are temporary cookies that remain in your browser’s cookie file only until you close the browser. They allow websites to link your actions during a single browsing session. Persistent cookies remain in your browser’s cookie file for a longer period (the duration depends on the specific cookie’s lifetime). For more information about cookies, including how to use your browser to block them and how to delete cookies already stored on your device, please visit: www.allaboutcookies.org
6.3 When you browse the pages under the domain bridgelogistica.it, we do not use any type of cookies. The following types of cookies, however, may be used when browsing the websites under the domain portal.bridgelogistica.it:
Session cookies. These allow us to track your movement from one page to another and store your selections so that you are not repeatedly asked for the same information. They enable you to navigate through multiple pages of the website quickly and easily without having to re-authenticate or reprocess each new area you visit. For example, a session cookie remembers your shopping cart selection so that the items you’ve chosen remain available when you’re ready to check out.
b) Operational cookies. We use persistent cookies (lasting up to 12 months) to manage sessions on our service, including assisting with login and logout processes and ensuring security.
c) Google cookies. Persistent cookies are set in connection with the following Google services on our website, and these cookies may involve certain information (such as your IP address and the web address of the page you are visiting) being sent to Google.
i) Google Analytics (“GA”). We use cookies to recognize and count the number of visitors to our website, as well as to gather other information about their visit — such as duration, navigation path through the website, and the referring sites. This information helps us improve how our website functions, for example by ensuring users can easily find what they need. You can disable GA specifically [here]. See below for additional opt-out options.
More information and opt-out: click [here] for Google’s Privacy Policy, and [here] for further information about the types of cookies set by Google. Click [here] for details on how Google uses data from its partners’ sites or apps and the various ways to disable Google cookies.
d) Social media cookies. We may use various social media and other third-party features on our website, including Facebook’s “Like” button, Twitter’s “Follow” button, Google’s “+1” button, Pinterest’s “Pin It” button, LinkedIn’s “Share/Follow” button, and YouTube’s embed button. These features may involve the respective companies using cookies or linking your visit to cookies previously placed on your computer, allowing them to collect information about your visit to our website or your interaction with their services.
Click the links listed above for more information about each specific feature and the cookie/privacy practices of these companies in general, as well as for options to withdraw consent where available.
6.4 By continuing to use our website after viewing our cookie notice, we assume that you consent to the use of the cookies described above.
7. What do we do with personal information?
7.1 To provide our service.
7.2 To send you marketing communications, if you have given your consent. These messages may be tailored to your profile — for example, offering EU-hosted services to clients located in the EU or high-performance services to users who make more extensive use of our platform. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us at the address provided above or by using the notification management section within the portal.
8. How long do we retain it?
8.1 We will generally delete your personal information when you delete your account (which you can request by emailing us at info@bridgelogistica.it). In such cases, information related to transport requests and offers previously created will be reassigned to a fictitious user, from which all your personal data will be dissociated. Wherever possible, we will endeavor to delete all personal information entered during your use of the platform (for example: “internal reference ID of the transport request BRIDGE ID 17462864”).
8.2 We may retain certain limited information for up to six years after your account has been closed, for tax purposes and/or to assist in resolving any potential disputes. This retention period may vary if we are legally required to keep the information for a specific duration. We will retain your information used for marketing purposes until you ask us to stop sending marketing communications (or until your account is closed, whichever occurs first).
9. Who do we share or make your personal information available to?
9.1 With other parties that provide services to us, such as website hosts, content delivery networks, and companies that assist us in sending communications or monitoring our website.
9.3 To the police or other competent authorities or complainants, if we believe that personal information violates our terms and conditions, is necessary to protect us or others, a crime may have been committed, or where required by law or by the police or other competent authorities.
9.4 To potential buyers as reasonably necessary in the event of an actual or proposed sale, merger, or business combination (including negotiations for such a transaction) involving all or the relevant part of our business.
10. Do we transfer your information outside the European Union?
Our main data storage providers (including personal data) are PythonAnywhere and OVH. Please read their respective privacy policies [here] and [here] to learn how data is processed once stored in their systems.
11. What rights do you have?
11.1 Where the legal requirements are met: You may request access to your personal information, rectification of any inaccuracies, deletion, restriction or objection to its processing in certain circumstances, or the exercise of your right to data portability.
11.2 If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, please contact us at the email address provided above. If you are not satisfied with our response or believe that we are not processing your personal information in accordance with the law, you may file a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
12. BRIDGE DRIVER APP?
12.1 BRIDGE SRL uses a mobile application (BRIDGE DRIVER) available to drivers of affiliated transport companies to make communication faster and more efficient.
12.2 The information collected does not allow the identification of the drivers using the app, nor the identification of the transport companies.
12.3 The application allows the driver’s real-time location to be shared with the transport company, even while the app is running in the background. This location is approximate, within a 20 km radius. In addition, at the end of the transport, the proof of delivery (DDT or CMR) can be sent directly using the app’s photo upload feature.
13. BRIDGE CARRIERS APP
13.1 BRIDGE SRL uses a mobile application (BRIDGE CARRIERS) available to employees of affiliated transport companies, allowing them to perform most of the actions available on the portal directly from mobile devices.
